At PixeBuilder, we want to ensure your website management is seamless and error-free. Because our licenses are tied to specific domain limits, the process for moving to a lower-tier plan requires a manual transition.
Can I downgrade directly from my dashboard?
No, automated downgrading is not available within the system. This restriction is in place to prevent technical conflicts and the sudden deactivation of your active websites. When a plan is downgraded, the system cannot automatically determine which of your currently registered sites should lose their Pro features and which should keep them.
Understanding the Conflict (An Example)
To illustrate why automated downgrading is restricted, consider this scenario:
- Current Plan: Plus Plan (Supports up to 5 websites).
- Active Sites: You currently have 5 live websites using PixeBuilder Pro features.
- Desired Plan: Personal Plan (Supports only 1 website).
If the system allowed an instant downgrade, 4 of your websites would immediately lose their license validation. This could lead to a loss of access to premium blocks and synchronization issues across your client projects.
To avoid this "license conflict," we require users to manually select which site they wish to keep on the new plan.
How to Transition to a Lower Tier
If you wish to move to a lower-priced plan, please follow these steps:
1. Purchase the New Plan: Visit our Pricing Page and purchase the lower-tier plan (e.g., moving from Agency to Plus, or Plus to Personal).
2. Manage Your Active Sites: Log in to your PixeBuilder Account and navigate to the License & Sites manager on your account page. Locate the website(s) you no longer wish to support under the premium tier and remove them from the active list.
3. Replace the Pro Plugin:
- On your site(s): Deactivate and delete the current PixeBuilder Pro plugin.
- In your account: Go to your account page and download the specific PixeBuilder Pro plugin file associated with your new plan.
4. Install the Pro Version on Your Desired Sites: Install and activate the newly downloaded plugin file on the specific websites you intend to keep.
