Updating the Plugin

Keeping your PixeBuilder plugin up to date ensures you have the latest features, performance improvements, and security patches. Here is how to update both the free and Pro versions.

Updating the free version of PixeBuilder is done directly through your WordPress dashboard.

• Log in to your WordPress admin area.
• Navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
• Locate PixeBuilder in the list. If an update is available, you will see a yellow notice with an Update Now link. Click it to automatically install the latest version.

Normally, the Pro version updates exactly like the free version. However, if your website is having trouble communicating with the update server and you do not see the update prompt, you can easily perform a manual update.

Method A: Automatic Update (Recommended)

• Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins in your WordPress dashboard.
• Find PixeBuilder Pro and click the Update Now link if it is visible.

Method B: Manual Update

If the automatic update button is missing, you can manually upload the newest file directly from your account.

• Log in to your dashboard at account.pixebuilder.com.
• Download the latest Pro version plugin (.zip) file from your account. (Note: Your active license is already pre-packaged inside this file, so you will not need to re-activate it).
• Go back to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Plugins > Add New Plugin (or Add New).
• Click Upload Plugin at the top of the screen, choose the .zip file you just downloaded, and click Install Now.
• WordPress will detect that the plugin is already installed and ask if you want to replace the current version with the uploaded one. Click Replace current with uploaded to complete the update safely without losing any of your layouts or settings.
